Betfred and William Hill bet on the future of Racing

Trevor Beaumont, CEO at Betfred and Andrew Lyman, Head of Public Affairs at William Hill, are the latest speakers to be confirmed for Leaders in Racing, the new and exclusive conference for the international business of horseracing, taking place in London on the 6th October 2011. The conference has been designed by the industry for the industry and is supported by four founding partners: The UK Jockey Club, Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, GBI Racing and SIS.

Lyman is a well recognised face in the UK betting scene, having worked as Director of Monitoring and Enforcement at the Gambling Commission and as Senior Executive at the Association of British Bookmakers. Lyman joined William Hill in 2009, and as Head of Public Affairs is well versed on all corporate policy in relation to the racing industry.

Beaumont became CEO of the Betfred after the company’s £265m acquisition of Wigan based operator Tote in June this year, where Beaumont had been CEO since 2004. He has a wealth of experience in the betting and horseracing industries, having previously held high ranking positions at Coral, the British Horseracing Board and UK Betting.

Beaumont and Lyman will be joining Edward Wray, Co-Founder and Chairman, Betfair and David Attenborough, Managing Director & CEO, Tabcorp for a session examining domestic and international betting trends, changes in technology, regulation and competition, as well as the industries continued relationship with sport especially racing.
